Biotin, zinc and selenium contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. Zinc and selenium contribute to the maintenance of normal nails. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin.
It is not a treatment for hair loss: sudden or patchy loss is a conversation for your GP. See every nutrient and claim or read the full label.

Hair, skin and nails questions
-
Does VH Life help hair grow?
No supplement can promise that, and we do not. The authorised claims are about keeping hair normal: biotin, zinc and selenium contribute to the maintenance of normal hair, and copper contributes to normal hair pigmentation. Sudden or patchy hair loss is a conversation for your GP, not a supplement decision. -
How much biotin is in one sachet?
1,000µg, which is 2,000% of the nutrient reference value, in the range many UK hair supplements use. Biotin can skew some blood test results, including thyroid and some heart tests, so tell whoever takes your bloods that you take it. -
What does vitamin C do for skin?
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin. One sachet gives 900mg, which is 1,125% of the nutrient reference value. -
How long should I take it before judging it?
Nails and hair grow slowly, over months rather than days. If you want to judge it, take it most days for at least twelve weeks. Everyone is different, and a supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. -
Is it worth it if I already eat well?
For most single nutrients, a varied diet covers the basics. What one sachet gives you is the whole daily base in one glass rather than a shelf of tubs. If you think you are low in iron, zinc or vitamin D, a blood test is the right first step, and your GP or pharmacist is the person to ask. -
Isn't a biotin tablet cheaper?
Yes. A high-street biotin, zinc and selenium tablet costs a fraction of this, and if that is all you want, buy it. VH Life puts 87 actives, as printed on the box, in one glass. On subscription it is £1.79 a day: £49.99 for 28 sachets every 4 weeks. -
Can I take it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. VH Life is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Hair shedding after having a baby usually settles on its own over several months; speak to your GP or midwife if you are worried. -
How do I take it?
Stir one 11.8g sachet into 250 to 500ml of cold water, once a day. It is berry flavoured and sweetened with stevia. Most people find a small glass tastes strong and use more water. -
How does the subscription work?
Two boxes of 14 sachets arrive every 4 weeks for £49.99, which is £1.79 a day. You can pause, skip or cancel from your account. If you would rather try it first, the 7-day trial is £12.99, one per customer, with no subscription attached.
