What is the best supplement for men?
Most men do not need iron in a daily supplement, so look for vitamin D, B vitamins and zinc. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood, magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, and vitamin B12 contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. VH Life provides all three in one daily sachet, with no iron. It is not a substitute for protein if you are building muscle.
What does the NHS say?
The NHS says men aged 19 and over need 8.7mg of iron a day, and that most people should get all they need from a varied and balanced diet. Source: NHS: Iron.
